Summanen village is a reconstruction of a Comb Ware period settlement
dating back 6,000 years. The upper village presents reconstructions of
Stone Age dwellings and structures from the Nordic countries and Estonia.
The trap path features ancient hunting methods, traps and snares. Along
the archaeology path there are authentic prehistoric antiquities along
with information on the natural history of the area. The exhibition in
the main building at Saarenpää provides the latest information
on the results of Stone Age archaeology and background for the reconstructions
and replicas on show in the village.
